Dean Swartz: A Moment of Detail

A Moment of Detail, which features twelve new pieces from pastel artist Dean Swartz, will be exhibited in the North Gallery at Mulberry Art Studios during the month of October. The public is invited to come out and meet this passionate, local artist at a First Friday Opening Reception on October 5th from 5pm until 9pm.

"My artwork allows the viewer to go on a journey" comments Swartz. "A journey through my eyes, to see the beauty I have seen. To go to the places I have gone. To experience the life I have experienced."

Dean Swartz

Swartz's current body of work represents seven years of that colorful journey of moments and a lifetime of art experience. Swartz, who has had a love of art his entire life, has studied at local art institutes and participated in private art exhibits. He describes himself as a "passionate realism pastel artist, who loves putting the viewer in the moment, allowing them to see the scene through my eyes, to feel the same passion that I feel."

Burton AulisioBurton Aulisio: Realities in Space

The galactic artwork of Burton Aulisio will be making the Louise Gallery at Mulberry Art Studios the center of the universe this October. Realities in Space, Aulisio’s latest collection of paintings, will open with a First Friday Reception on October 5th from 5pm until 9pm.  The exhibit continues through the month of October and will be available during regular gallery hours on weekdays from 10am until 4pm.

Realities in Space is a composition of works by Burton Aulisio that merge actual images that we have all been exposed to as well as the visionary creations of how worlds may appear millions of light years away.  The use of color in planetary images, and nebulae's that we have seen from the Hubble Telescope to the stark, barren and desolate planetary horizons created by the artist all combine to give the viewer a different glimpse of what may be another Reality in Space.

Burton Aulisio is a local artist who enjoys painting the Cosmos.  His love of Outer Space influences his work.  His use of both color as well as the absence of it in his black and white images, portray his visions of what he believes already exists within our vast universe.   “What lies on the other side of the galaxy or the other side of the universe, may never be known to us” says Aulisio, “just as infinity and the ever expanding Universe keep us in awe.”
