Lonny Van Booven: Nature, Flowers, Places & Faces

Artist Lonny Van Booven will be bringing his newest collection of photography- Nature, Flowers, Places & Faces- to the Louise Gallery at Mulberry Art Studios for a month long exhibition in December. The exhibit opens with a First Friday Reception on December 3rd from 5pm until 8pm.

Lonny Van Booven was born and raised in California, but has resided in Pennsylvania for the past two decades.  Van Booven has always had a passion for creativity. He is a singer, a songwriter and a poet, as well as a photographer.

The title of Van Booven’s exhibit comes from the subject matter he finds most intriguing. The simple beauty of nature, the robust colors and interesting lighting found in flowers, the story and history of different places and the unique expressions, textures and lines in a face-these are the inspirations behind the photographs of Nature, Flowers, Faces & Places. Another constant source of inspiration for Van Booven is a quote he once read, “Photography is the Language of Captured Moments that Evoke Emotion and Story.” Looking at Van Booven’s collection of photography, that quote certainly rings true.
